Employer guide · Your checklist
Everything ready for your free job ad.
Clear information helps people decide whether your vacancy fits them. See what Jobvelio needs, what strengthens your presentation and what you can add optionally.
Jobvelio needs these details to publish. A saved draft is not a public posting.
These details help people decide and strengthen your presentation. They remain optional unless explicitly marked as required.
Add information relevant to your vacancy. You do not need details unrelated to the work.
The essentials
What we always need.
“Required” refers to Jobvelio’s publishing requirements here. Also check the national requirements applicable to your vacancy. Prefilled fields count as information: adjust them to the actual role.
| Information | What you enter | Why it helps |
|---|---|---|
| Employer account and verified email | Your name, a working email address, a password of at least twelve characters and its confirmation. Accept the linked terms of use and verify your email before signing in. The privacy notice explains how your information is processed. | Manage your company and receive application notifications. Your password is never published. |
| Real company name | In your company profile: the name of the posting company, up to 200 characters. Publish only with its authorisation. | Candidates can see who is behind the offer. |
| Company city and country | City, up to 150 characters, and Austria, Germany or Switzerland. Check the preselected country. | Readers can locate your company. The actual workplace is checked separately for each vacancy. |
| One clear job title | Enter it once in your input language, up to 200 characters. Use the recognised name of the occupation. Jobvelio prepares the German and English versions. | People recognise the role and can search for it specifically. You do not need to translate a second title yourself. |
| One complete job description | Enter plain text once in your input language, between 40 and 20,000 characters. Jobvelio handles translation into German and English and preserves your original information. Forty characters is only the technical minimum. | Tasks and requirements are clear before applying. A useful, well-structured description provides more than the minimum text. |
| Actual workplace and country | Check the city, up to 150 characters, and country for the vacancy. The company location may be prefilled. Explain any home-working arrangements in the description. | People can assess commuting and working arrangements. |
| Employment type | Choose full-time, part-time, contract, temporary work or an internship. Full-time may be preselected. | The role is classified correctly. Explain contract duration and specific conditions in the description. |
| Weekly hours | Actual weekly hours between 0.01 and 168. Decimal values such as 38.5 are supported. Check the suggested value. | Candidates can compare working hours and use the hours filters. |
| Pay for vacancies in Austria | A positive gross minimum pay amount, plus EUR or CHF and a monthly or hourly period. Explain the applicable basis and any additional pay in the description. | The form blocks Austrian postings without a positive amount. The field is technically optional for Germany and Switzerland; specific pay information is strongly recommended there too. |
| Review and genuine open vacancy | Confirm your original information, actual workplace, hours and pay. The vacancy must genuinely be open. Publication takes place only when the German and English versions are ready. | You deliberately choose what becomes public. Saving a draft alone does not publish it. |
Drafts: a company profile, a title in your input language, workplace and valid key information are enough for an initial saved version. Publication also needs a full description, the required pay information and your explicit final review. Jobvelio prepares the language versions in the background; until they are ready, the posting remains unpublished. You do not have to enter a second language yourself.
Make your company recognisable
Present your company with a logo and a clear introduction.
Company logo
Upload your own company logo once in your company profile. It appears on the public profile, company directory, job cards and vacancy pages. Replacing it updates these views. You can also publish without a logo.
- PNG, JPG or WebP; up to 2 MiB (2,097,152 bytes).
- No more than 4 megapixels. Small, tall and wide formats are also supported.
- For the clearest result, upload the sharp original file you already have. Transparent backgrounds are placed on white; you do not need to create a square image yourself.
- Jobvelio places the logo proportionally in the centre of a white 512 × 512 pixel canvas. It is neither cropped nor distorted. SVG and PDF are not accepted here.
Your logo and company website are public information. Application documents remain separately protected.
Introduction and website
Two to four specific sentences explain what you do, where the team works and what daily work is like. Write the introduction once in your input language, up to 10,000 characters. Jobvelio prepares German and English and preserves the original.
Add your public company website as an extra link. Use a complete https:// or http:// URL without credentials. It does not replace the Jobvelio application process.
Company name, city and country remain the required details. The logo, website and introduction also cost €0.
Information that helps people decide
Six building blocks for a useful job description.
These are not extra required fields. Include short sections in the job description. State real conditions and specific benefits rather than broad advertising promises.
The role
What will the person do each day? Describe three to five specific tasks, responsibilities and working relationships.
What is genuinely needed
State essential qualifications, skills or licences. Separate must-haves from skills people can learn on the job.
Hours, location and work arrangement
Explain working days, shifts, travel and whether the role is on site, hybrid or fully remote. Include any location or scheduling limits.
Pay and real benefits
The amount, currency, pay period and weekly hours should agree. Name actual benefits such as training, allowances or specific flexible arrangements.
Start date and contract details
When can someone start? Is the role temporary? Are multiple start dates or a later start possible? Include these details when relevant.
What happens after applying
Explain the documents needed and your selection process. On Jobvelio, candidates review their information and deliberately submit it. You view incoming applications in your employer area.
Relevant to the particular role
What else you can add.
Language skills
Use the optional field to state the languages genuinely needed and the relevant level or tasks. Enter this information only once too; Jobvelio prepares the other language version.
Require a CV
Choose whether this vacancy requires a CV using its dedicated checkbox. When enabled, candidates need a current PDF before the preview. Request only documents relevant to the role.
Contact for questions
If helpful, add an authorised business contact in the description. It becomes public. The account email is not automatically displayed in the posting. Applications still arrive in your employer area.
Other working conditions
A driving licence, travel, workplace accessibility or practical onboarding support may be relevant. Include them in the text when they relate to the role. Describe requirements factually and in welcoming language.
Files and presentation: enter the description as text, not as a Word or PDF attachment. Additional company photos, cover images, videos, screening questions and external application links are not currently supported by this form. Use your logo, website, introduction and a clearly structured job description to present the role.
Your review before publishing.
