Requirements
Purpose of the Position:
The Demichef de Partie assists the Chef de Partie in the preparation and presentation of dishes in a specific section of the kitchen. He or she helps ensure that all dishes are prepared and served to the highest standards and contributes to maintaining efficient kitchen operations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Assisting with food preparation:
Assisting the Chef de Partie with the preparation and cooking of dishes
Adhering to recipes and presentation standards
Ensuring high quality and consistency of dishes
Organization and cleanliness:
Ensuring that the work area is always clean, organized, and ready for use
Adhering to hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen
Responsibility for the proper storage and handling of food
Teamwork and communication:
Communicating effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
Collaborating with the Chef de Partie and other team members to achieve kitchen goals
Participate in team meetings.
Inventory control and purchasing:
Assisting with inventory control and ordering ingredients
Ensuring minimal waste and optimal use of available resources
Menu development:
Contributing to the development and improvement of dishes and menus in collaboration with the Chef de Partie
Providing creative input and support for the introduction of new dishes
Language skills
English B2 (good intermediate level)
German A2 (basics)
Work permit
Must have a work permit (or be an EU citizen)
