To strengthen our team, we are looking for a dedicated individual (full-time) to join us starting in December 2026 as:
Caretaker / Gardener (m|f|d)
Your Role: Preserver of the Building’s Integrity
You work behind the scenes, like stage technicians and set designers: discreetly, precisely and indispensably. You keep the building, garden and technical systems in good working order and maintain the standards of Mazaggs. Your careful work helps guests feel comfortable and everyday operations run smoothly.
Your Responsibilities:
Maintenance and upkeep of the building and outdoor facilities through regular inspections and proactive maintenance measures
Careful upkeep and maintenance of technical equipment, machinery, and alarm systems to ensure the hotel runs smoothly
Gardening and seasonal maintenance of green spaces
Professional execution of repair work and assistance to external specialists on larger projects
Coordinating with external contractors as needed
Assistance with setup and takedown for events
Working discreetly while the hotel is open to guests
Attention to order, cleanliness, and safety throughout the property
Close collaboration with housekeeping, the front desk, and management

Requirements
Your Profile:
Manual dexterity and technical understanding; completion of an apprenticeship in a skilled trade (e.g., electrician, carpenter, plumber, or similar) is a plus
Several years of professional experience, preferably in a hotel setting, as a custodian, gardener, or in a comparable role is a plus
Respectful interaction with the property, team, and guests
An understanding that cleanliness and order contribute significantly to a sense of well-being
Ability to work independently with an eye for detail, a sense of responsibility, and discretion
A very meticulous, reliable, and organized approach to work
Very good knowledge of German
Language skills
English A2 (basics)
German B2 (good intermediate level)
Work permit
Must have a work permit (or be an EU citizen)

2026 € gross / month
The minimum gross salary under the collective bargaining agreement is €2,026.00 per month on a full-time basis. Depending on qualifications and relevant professional experience, a significant premium is provided.
